One of Florida’s Gulf Coast gems can be found roughly 45 minutes from Tampa — just south of Crystal River in a town called Homosassa. We are blessed to have property right on the river and make it retreat – as often as humanly possible.
About Homosassa:
Located in Citrus County, Homosassa is a smaller town with a population of roughly 2000 +- residents. It has become a popular area for tourists because of it’s nice small town charm and outdoor activities.
It is one of the best places in Florida for Scalloping and fishing – as well as a host of state parks within an hour.
The Homosassa River is an absolute charm where you can see all sorts of wildlife. Dolphin, Manatee and plenty of fish occupy this brackish water- as well as a natural spring.
