If you are looking for AUTHENTIC NY Style Pizza and Italian food – we found the perfect place for you to check out: Gino’s NY Style Pizzeria in Palm Harbor.
Gino’s has been serving the Bay Area (specifically Palm Harbor) for close to 30 years (they will be celebrating their 30th year in January). They have two locations that serve the same menu items.
They make AUTHENTIC NY Style pizza – as well as other traditional Italian Dishes.
We recently interviewed Dino Bonetti (second generation Pizza and Italian Food Guru) to learn more about their operation and how they continue to serve it’s customer base.
Question: So what’s Gino’s Story? How and when did you get started?
Dino: My father got into the business when we moved to Florida and bought an existing pizza place in 1990. He always had a passion for cooking so he learned some of the pizza recipes and added his signature sauces and dishes to expand the menu . I started making pizza at 15 in NY and all ready knew I love it! Then we made magic together opening a second location and the rest is history.
Question: What is your best selling item?
Dino: Definitely the regular cheese pie – Just because it’s what got us where we are today and it’s simply the best !
Question: What is the “One Thing” that makes your customers keep coming back for the past 30 years?
Dino: We love what we do so everything we make has a lot of passion behind it!
Question: Do you have anything new coming to your menu?
Dino: Yes I have been working on a new pizza called the San Marzano Square that’s more of a craft pie. I only make a few a day and once they sell -> there gone. They are good!
When I visited Gino’s – I had the Fresh mozzarella Pizzette and it was FABULOUS (check out the pic below)! All that and they also serve local craft brews — I highly recommend checking out Gino’s (two locations in Palm Harbor)!!!
Cheers !!!
